Why Project Professional?
All our Project keys are for the Professional edition. On top of Project Standard's scheduling, Gantt charts, resources and reports, it adds Team Planner, inactive tasks and a connection to Project Online and Project Server.
One-time key or Project subscription?
Microsoft also sells Project as a cloud subscription. A Project Professional key is a one-time purchase for the desktop app on one PC: you pay once and keep using that version.
How to install and activate Project
- Uninstall older Project versions.
- Go to setup.office.com, sign in with your Microsoft account and redeem your key.
- Download Project and install it in the same 32-bit or 64-bit version as your Office.
- Open Project and activate online.

Does Project work on a Mac?
No. The Project desktop app is for Windows only.
Do I need Office to use Project?
No. Project installs on its own. If Office is installed, Project must use the same 32-bit or 64-bit version.
Is it a subscription?
No. Every Project key here is a one-time purchase.
