Windows 10 Keys

Windows 10 end of support: what it means
- 14 October 2025: Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 Home and Pro. There are no more free security updates, fixes or technical help from Microsoft.
- Extended Security Updates (ESU): home users could get security updates until 13 October 2026 through Microsoft's consumer ESU program. Businesses can pay for up to three years of ESU.
- Windows 10 still works. It installs, activates and runs as before. End of support doesn't affect activation with a genuine key.
If your PC meets the Windows 11 requirements, a Windows 11 key is the better buy.
When Windows 10 still makes sense
- The PC has no TPM 2.0, or its processor isn't supported by Windows 11.
- You rely on software or drivers that only work on Windows 10.
- The PC isn't used for everyday browsing, email or banking, for example a machine that runs one program.
Windows 10 Home or Pro?
Windows 10 Home covers everyday use. Windows 10 Pro adds BitLocker, Remote Desktop hosting, Hyper-V, Group Policy and domain join, and a Pro key upgrades Home to Pro without reinstalling. For offices, Windows 10 Pro (5 PCs) activates five computers with one key.
How to activate a Windows 10 key
- Open Settings > Update & Security > Activation.
- Select Change product key and enter the 25-character key from your email.
- Windows activates online. A Pro key on a Home PC upgrades it to Pro.
For a clean installation, download Windows 10 with Microsoft's Media Creation Tool and enter your key during setup.

- Retail keys, activated online with Microsoft, for 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 10.
- One PC per key, or five with the 5-PC key. Reinstalling on the same hardware is fine; moving the key to another computer isn't possible.

Can I still activate Windows 10?
Yes. Activation works as before; only Microsoft's free security updates have ended.
Does a Windows 10 key activate Windows 11?
No. Our Windows 10 keys activate Windows 10 only. For Windows 11, see our Windows 11 keys.
Will Windows 10 stop working?
No. It keeps running, but without security updates it becomes riskier to use online over time.
Can I upgrade Windows 10 Home to Pro?
Yes. Enter a Windows 10 Pro key in Settings > Update & Security > Activation > Change product key.
How fast will I get my key?
Instantly, by email and under My Account → Keys. In rare cases a system delay can add 5–10 minutes.
