After payment you receive a 25-character Windows 10 Pro product key by email, instantly in most cases (a system delay can occasionally add 5–10 minutes). The email includes the link to Microsoft’s official download and our step-by-step activation guide, and the key is also saved under My Account → Keys.

Windows 10 support: what you should know

Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 on 14 October 2025. Windows 10 Pro still installs, activates and runs as before, but Microsoft no longer releases free security updates for it. Home users could extend security updates to 13 October 2026 through Microsoft’s Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, and businesses can pay for up to three years of ESU.

Windows 10 Pro makes sense for a PC that can’t run Windows 11 (no TPM 2.0, or an older processor) and for software that only works on Windows 10. If your PC meets the Windows 11 requirements, Windows 11 Pro is the better choice, because Microsoft still supports it with security updates.

What is Windows 10 Pro?

Windows 10 Pro is the business edition of Windows 10. It includes everything in Windows 10 Home, plus:

• BitLocker drive encryption
• Remote Desktop, so you can connect to this PC from another device
• Hyper-V virtual machines and Windows Sandbox
• Group Policy and joining a company domain or Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

License and activation

This is a retail Windows 10 Pro key for one PC. It activates online, once, on the PC where you enter it. You can reinstall Windows 10 on that same PC as long as its hardware doesn’t change, but the key can’t be moved to another computer.

The key works for a clean installation and for upgrading Windows 10 Home to Pro, in 32-bit or 64-bit. It’s a Windows 10 key: it doesn’t activate Windows 11.

Is it genuine? Why is it cheaper than Microsoft’s price?

Yes. It’s a genuine Microsoft key that activates on Microsoft’s own activation servers. We buy unused keys from companies that purchase Microsoft licenses in large batches and end up with more than they need. That surplus costs us a fraction of the retail price, and we pass the saving on to you.

How to activate Windows 10 Pro

Already running Windows 10 Home or Pro?

1. Open Settings > Update & Security > Activation.
2. Select Change product key and enter the 25-character key from your email.
3. Windows activates online. If you had Windows 10 Home, it upgrades to Pro and restarts; your files and apps stay.

Installing Windows 10 from scratch?

1. Download Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool and create a bootable USB stick (8 GB or larger).
2. Start the PC from the USB stick and follow the setup.
3. When setup asks for a product key, enter yours and it installs Windows 10 Pro. You can also choose “I don’t have a product key”, pick Windows 10 Pro from the list and activate later in Settings > Update & Security > Activation.

If the PC came with Windows Home preinstalled, setup may install Home without asking, because it reads the Home key stored in the PC’s firmware. Finish setup, then upgrade to Pro with your key as shown above.

If activation fails

• “This product key didn’t work”: check that you’re activating Windows 10 (not Windows 11) and that you typed the key exactly as in the email.
• No internet connection: Windows activates online, so connect the PC and enter the key again.
• Anything else: contact us within 15 days of your order, on live chat or at support@cheapkeys.io. We’ll fix it or replace the key, and if no working solution is possible, you get a refund under our refund policy.

Windows 10 doesn’t need TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot, so it runs on many PCs that can’t upgrade to Windows 11.

Can I still buy and activate Windows 10 Pro?

Yes. Windows 10 Pro still installs and activates normally. Since 14 October 2025 Microsoft no longer provides free security updates for it, so keep that in mind for a PC you use online every day.

Can I upgrade Windows 10 Home to Pro with this key?

Yes. Enter it in Settings > Update & Security > Activation > Change product key. Windows upgrades to Pro and keeps your files and apps.

Does it activate Windows 11?

No. It’s a Windows 10 key. For Windows 11, see Windows 11 Pro.

Can I reinstall Windows 10 later?

Yes, on the same PC, as long as the hardware doesn’t change.

Can I move it to a new computer?

No. The key activates once, on one PC. A new computer needs a new key.

Is it a subscription?
