What you get

After payment you receive a 25-character Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard product key by email, instantly in most cases (a system delay can occasionally add 5–10 minutes). The key is also saved under My Account → Keys.

Microsoft ended all support for Windows Server 2012 R2 on 10 October 2023. It still installs, activates and runs, but Microsoft no longer releases security updates for it. Use it only for legacy systems or software that require it, ideally on a network that isn’t exposed to the internet. For a supported server, see Windows Server 2022 Standard.

How to activate

Enter the key during setup, or later as administrator with slmgr /ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX followed by slmgr /ato. Check the result with slmgr /dlv.

If activation fails

Check that the server runs Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard and that you typed the key exactly as in the email. Anything else: contact us within 15 days of your order, on live chat or at support@cheapkeys.io. We’ll fix it or replace the key, and if no working solution is possible, you get a refund under our refund policy.
