Windows Server 2019 Essentials Key

What you get

After payment you receive a 25-character Windows Server 2019 Essentials product key by email, instantly in most cases (a system delay can occasionally add 5–10 minutes). The key is also saved under My Account → Keys.

What is Windows Server 2019 Essentials?

Essentials is the Windows Server edition for small businesses. It has the core features of Windows Server 2019 Standard (Active Directory, file and print services, Hyper-V, Windows Admin Center) with limits that suit a small office:

• Up to 25 users and 50 devices
• No CALs needed: client access for those users and devices is included
• A server with up to 2 processors and 64 GB of RAM
• One running instance, physical or virtual

Note that Server 2019 Essentials no longer has the Essentials Experience dashboard of earlier versions; you manage it like Standard, for example with Windows Admin Center. Growing past 25 users? Choose Windows Server 2019 Standard with CALs.

License and activation

Retail license for one server, activated online. Enter the key during setup, or later as administrator with slmgr /ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX followed by slmgr /ato. Check the result with slmgr /dlv.

Is it genuine?

Yes. It’s a genuine Microsoft key that activates on Microsoft’s own servers, bought as surplus from companies that purchase Microsoft licenses in large batches.

If activation fails

Check that the server runs Windows Server 2019 Essentials and that you typed the key exactly as in the email. Anything else: contact us within 15 days of your order, on live chat or at support@cheapkeys.io.
